A Fairytale Castle Wedding Revealed......
Clint and Fiona got in touch in 2007 to book our top tier wedding package for August 2008.Fiona welcomed the idea of a female reportage assistant photographer as well as a lead photographer to capture the bridal preparations. We met the couple for their consultation and again just before their wedding for an engagement photoshoot alongside their two children, and again at the wedding rehearsal so were good friends by the morning of the big day itself!
The August weather was overcast with rain threatened - typical English summer! We arrived at the couple's hotel where they had stayed that week and where the preparations and reception would take place at 9.30am. Barrie headed off to chat with Clint and the boys while Bernadette went to capture the fun and mayhem of the Bridal Preparations. Bernadette informed Fiona that if rain came, we were well prepared with Photabulous! UK matching Bride and Groom umbrellas!
Great candid reportage photography of the preparations was done while Barrie took some formal shots of the boys and candid shots at the local pub until it was time to return to Fiona for her exit at the hotel and more formal photos of the vintage car and Bridesmaids limo.
At the Church arrival the sky was very dark and it was very windy too, so some great informals of the walk into church took place. Inside the church the Vicar had placed both Photabulous! UK and the videographer in very restricted viewing places and we had to stay there until the end of the service. There were some great expression shots and during the signing of the register, then it was off to the church grounds, but the wind was whipping around at this time so the more formal shots of groups etc were taken back at the hotel wedding garden. The rain never came!
Fiona and Clint had treated us as guests at their reception and asked us to stay for the wedding breakfast while we worked which was unusual but we greatly appreciated it! We covered the mood, the speeches, the decor and then it was out in the lobby for guest shots until the evening reception.
The evening reception had a Swing Band and Guests in cocktail dresses and tuxedoes. We shot posed guests, informals, the first dance and ended the night at 11pm with the firework display.

After the day itself the hard work began uploading
nearly 600 images to the website for the couples slideshow viewing,
and then compiling the 2 Parent Albums of 30 images in each.
We then requested Clint and Fiona to
choose 150 images for their Luxury Graphistudio
Storybook Wedding Album which is handcrafted in Italy!
